Rotary Club of Nigdi, chartered in 1987, has been a driving force for community service in the Pune (PCMC) region. With more than 100 active members, the club has delivered impactful projects in healthcare, literacy, sanitation, women empowerment, environment, and sustainability.
Through its charitable trust, RC Nigdi has implemented initiatives such as the Human Milk Bank at DY Patil Medical College, adult literacy centres, blood donation drives, tree plantation campaigns, water storage tanks, and solar-powered irrigation projects.
Runathon of Hope — started in 2010 — is one of the club’s signature events, bringing together citizens, corporates, and schools to support education and health projects. Over the years, more than 100,000 runners have participated, collectively clocking 57,000+ km for a cause.
